Our Journey.

1 Source was awarded its 8a status in 2000 and experienced moderate growth over the next several years. In 2004, 1 Source formed a joint venture with RS Information Systems (RSIS) named Energy Enterprise Solutions (EES), and focused on business opportunities at the Department of Energy (DOE). In 2005, EES was awarded a 7-year $ 1.4 Billion Dollar agency-wide contract from DOE to provide professional and information technology services nationwide. At the time of award, this was the largest civilian agency federal contract award to a minority-owned small business even though the contract competed for full and open businesses.

Our Leadership.

President & Chief Executive Officer

As the President and Chief Executive Officer of 1 Source, William R. Teel, Jr., is responsible for the overall executive leadership of the company, including responsibility for business affairs, corporate strategic planning and mission success.

A native of Anacostia in Southeast Washington, D.C., Teel was the first in his family to graduate from college. Despite challenging beginnings, Teel went on to earn a R.O.T.C. commission to Second Lieutenant from the U.S. Army, and later two Masters degrees, including an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and a Masters in Information Technology from Bowie State University.

Teel’s vision was to build a strategic information technology and management firm that could deliver effectively on the promise of great IT services to U.S. government clients. Teel’s outstanding leadership and his many years of federal, commercial, and non-profit experience drove his passion to make 1 Source a company that delivers excellence on all levels – to clients, to employees, to the community and ultimately to the American people.

Throughout his successful career, William has never forgotten humble beginnings. He has placed an emphasis on personal and corporate philanthropy, making significant contributions to charitable causes and always looking for new opportunities to make a positive difference in the community.

Community Commitment.

Over our 20-year journey, 1 Source has developed and maintained a strong relationship with our local communities and nationwide charities. Through a combination of partnerships, volunteerism, fundraising, sponsorships, and donations, the 1 Source Community Outreach Program is dedicated to partnering and investing in the communities where we work and live.

By building relationships with philanthropic organizations, businesses, agencies, schools, charities, and foundations, we are able to identify the needs of our community and deliver a much greater and diverse range of services that are more meaningful and timely.

Some of our national and local philanthropic partners include Bread for the City, Children’s National Medical Center, Goodwill, Martha’s Table, the Salvation Army, Autism Speaks, National Cancer Foundation, So Others May Eat (SOME), and Becky’s Fund.
